Designed as a personal sanctuary for a jet-setting mom and television producer, this home office—fondly nicknamed the “momcave”—was reimagined as a place to work, rest, and reconnect between projects and travel. With her husband an Emmy-nominated producer and their lives often in motion, she craved a retreat that felt grounded in beauty, culture, and feminine energy.

The design was inspired by a scroll she acquired on a trip to China, which became the foundation for a space filled with floral motifs, layered textures, and intentional elegance. We infused the room with soft sophistication through a fresh coat of paint, a romantic chandelier, velvet drapery, and wallpaper that whispered serenity. A wall sconce was hardwired to frame the scroll, adding depth and gentle light.

Function met indulgence in the form of a custom gold velvet sleeper sofa—designed not only for daily lounging, but to host her mother in comfort during extended visits. Complete with a refined desk, curated décor, and thoughtful lighting, the Lotus Lounge is now a calming, curated haven—equal parts retreat and creative command center.
