Combining rustic charm with glamorous appeal in this home makeover reveal.
New homes often lack the welcoming coziness required for comfort after a long day of work. But there’s nothing more exciting than a blank slate and a vision!
A recent client of mine relocated to Dallas and custom-built their new home. The couple wanted us to add a bit of flair to their new digs while successfully marrying their differing design styles, Rustic and Glam.

Here’s a look at her finished study, carefully mixing existing furnishings with new pieces. We painted this gorgeous space in a beautiful navy blue with a gold ceiling that really made the coffers sing.
Soft textiles like velvet paired with warm gold and glass mosaics accents in the space highlighted the sleeper sofa; allowing for functional living for guests during the holidays.
We helped our client select a wood stain for the flooring that would be installed throughout the home as well as a beautiful blue island to pair well with the builder's wall paint and finish selections.
Who said rustic living can’t have its place in a modern abode? Showcased by nature with blonde woods, bluesy hues, and warm textiles, this home design represents a modern take on a glam style with rustic appeal.
My client was so thrilled with the outcome and how his home speaks to their lifestyles!
